3 Fun Projects using GlassCast 10 Resin

Project 1: Galaxy Resin Art Tile

Materials Needed:

  • Ceramic tile or wood panel (as base)
  • GlassCast 10 resin
  • Pinata alcohol inks, acrylic paint, or resin pigments (black, blue, purple, white)
  • Mixing tools and a heat gun or gas torch

Steps:

  1. Seal the tile or wood with a primer or white base coat (optional).
  2. Mix the resin and divide it into separate cups for each colour.
  3. Pour black resin as your base.
  4. Add blue, purple, and white in swirling patterns.
  5. Use a heat gun or hairdryer to move the resin and blend colours.
  6. Add white dots or streaks with a stick for stars and galaxies.
  7. Cure and optionally gloss coat again for a super glassy finish.

Project 2: Embedded Flowers Coasters

Materials Needed:

  • GlassCast 10 resin & hardener
  • Silicone coaster molds
  • Dried flowers (pressed or whole)
  • Mixing cups and stirrers
  • Gloves and protective gear
  • Heat gun or gas torch (for bubbles)

Steps:

  1. Prep your space – Cover your workspace, wear gloves, and make sure the area is dust-free.
  2. Arrange your flowers in the molds before pouring. Decide on layout.
  3. Mix the resin according to GlassCast 10's instructions.
  4. Pour a thin layer into the mold and let it settle for a few minutes.
  5. Place the flowers gently on top. Use a stick or tweezers to arrange them.
  6. Pour the remaining resin to fully cover the flowers.
  7. Pop bubbles with a heat gun or torch.
  8. Cure for 24–48 hours, then pop them out of the mold. Sand edges if needed.

Project 3: Resin Crystal Pendants

Materials Needed:

  • Small silicone crystal or gem molds
  • GlassCast 10 resin
  • Mica powders or resin dyes
  • Jump rings & jewellery findings
  • Mixing supplies
  • Heat gun or gas torch to pop bubbles

Steps:

  1. Prepare the mold and gather all your colouring materials.
  2. Mix the resin, then divide it into small cups.
  3. Add mica powder or dye to each portion for colourful crystals.
  4. Pour into the molds, layering or swirling colours for cool effects.
  5. Use a toothpick to pull colour through for a marbled look.
  6. Pop bubbles and let cure.
  7. Once hardened, drill tiny holes (if needed) and attach jump rings for pendants
