  • Long-lasting conditioning – Keeps wood smooth, hydrated, and ready for use.

Directions for Use

How to Use Howard Cutting Board Oil

  1. Prepare the product – Remove the safety seal before first use.
  2. Apply the oil – Using a clean, soft cloth, generously apply Howard Cutting Board Oil to the surface.
  3. For bowls & utensils – Let the oil soak for at least 20 minutes, then wipe away any excess.
  4. For new or raw wood cutting boards – Apply at least 2 coats, allowing each coat to fully absorb before applying the next.
  5. For thick wood surfaces (e.g., butcher blocks) – Use 3–4 coats, letting each coat soak in for at least 1 hour. Wipe away all excess oil before use.

Pro Tip: For maximum protection and a longer-lasting finish, follow with Howard Butcher Block Conditioner or Wax-It-All Food-Grade Wax to seal in the oil and help repel moisture.
